Position Overview: As Construction Administration Manager at Identity Architects, you will oversee construction-phase services and represent the architect in the field. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real construction challenges, working directly with contractors, and seeing projects move from drawings to reality.

Qualifications:

8–10+ years in construction administration or construction-phase project managementProven experience with U.S.-based commercial projectsTechnical Knowledge

Strong understanding of construction processes, building systems, and design intentExperience with AIA contract documents and construction documentationFamiliarity with IBC and other applicable building codesTools & Technology

Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, BluebeamExperienced with construction management platforms such as ProcoreSkills & Attributes

Excellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to coordinate effectively with contractors, clients, and design teamsStrong problem-solving mindset with attention to detailCapable of managing multiple projects simultaneouslyArchitectural licensure is welcome but not required

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Construction Administration

Manage construction-phase services across multiple commercial and healthcare projectsOversee project schedules, budgets, and alignment with design intentSupport project closeout and final documentationRepresent the Architect in the Field

Act as the architect’s primary voice during constructionLead communication and coordination with owners, contractors, and consultantsLead Owner–Architect–Contractor (OAC) meetingsReview and Manage Construction Documentation

Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change ordersReview pay applications and monitor construction progressConduct site visits, punch list inspections, and substantial completion reviewsManage and Mentor CA Staff

Lead, guide, and mentor construction administration team membersHelp improve the firm’s construction administration systems and processesSolve Real Construction Challenges

Identify construction risks and coordinate solutionsWork directly with contractors to resolve site conflicts and keep projects on trackEnsure quality and successful project outcomes
