Qualifications
RS&H is currently seeking a Senior Architect to join our Federal Market Buildings team in Savannah, GA.
As part of the Buildings team, this role supports Federal, military, and government clients on a wide range of facilities projects. The Senior Architect will play a key technical leadership role, delivering architectural solutions for missiondriven facilities while coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Essential FunctionsDefine architectural project elements and processes to meet Federal client needsParticipate in and coordinate estimates, proposals, and bid preparationsEnsure performance to contract requirements through planning and monitoring work orders and deliverables in coordination with engineering, construction, and other disciplinesPlan and develop architectural projects involving complex and unique challengesParticipate in conceptual design and provide full technical support through all phases of project deliveryCoordinate with project management, architects, and firm leadership on technical solutions and product strategiesPromote and maintain client relationships throughout all project phases and support business development effortsServe as a technical subject matter expert on assigned projects and specialized systemsReview junior staff work for technical accuracy and provide mentorship and technical guidancePerform quality control reviews, field reviews, inspections, and construction observationsLead multidisciplinary project teams and, as needed, manage a small group of direct reportsRequired QualificationsDegree in architecture from an NAABaccredited program or equivalent experienceMinimum of 10 years of architectural experience, including:Work on major projects or multiple moderatescale projectsProviding technical guidance to entry or juniorlevel staffReviewing work for technical accuracyParticipating in the development or implementation of processes, standards, or operational plansActive architectural license in good standingExperience supporting Federal, military, or government clientsDemonstrated knowledge of applicable building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and ordinancesProficiency in architectural production software and construction document developmentStrong problemsolving skills with the ability to deliver timely, practical solutionsProven ability to address challenging issues in a professional and businessminded mannerStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teamsDue to federal contract requirements, this position is limited to candidates who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant area of focus#LI-JG1
