Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position is competitive nationwide, and reflects the diverse range of salaries across the country. Actual salary will depend on various factors, including the complexity of the role and the candidate's skills, education, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive compensation and benefits program, eligible employees may receive performance-based cash incentives.

$139,400.00 - $230,000.00

As a key member of the AI and Emerging Technology Architecture team, you will play a crucial role in reshaping our business and technology capabilities. Your expertise in modern AI systems will be integral in designing and delivering impactful solutions.

In your role as a Senior Architect, you will:

Utilize your expertise in AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI systems to create scalable AI solutions aligned with business objectives.

Collaborate with other architects and domain teams to enhance the enterprise AI solutions architecture practice, contributing to reusable patterns and design standards for consistency across initiatives.

Translate business needs into practical designs that encompass LLM integration, memory systems, and efficient tool use, ensuring reliable and cost-effective solutions.

Promote responsible AI deployments by adhering to governance and risk frameworks, such as the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF.

Stay updated with the evolving AI landscape, contribute insights to guide the team's technical direction and roadmap.

Effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

What Will You Do?

Scope: Lead architecture efforts within multiple segments of a single business unit.

Technical Execution: Define and oversee technology proof of concepts to validate architectural solutions.

Drive continuous technology enhancement to reduce technical debt.

Conduct hands-on prototyping and engage in technical demonstrations.

Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment with strategic technology goals.

Strategic Accountability: Develop target state architecture and create actionable roadmaps.

Proactively identify opportunities from emerging tech trends to minimize technical debt.

Support modernization initiatives for enhancing technology use.

Communicate comprehensive architectural strategies effectively.

Develop strong relationships to secure stakeholder buy-in.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

Technical Expertise & Education: Bachelor's in a technology-related field or equivalent, with at least 8 years of relevant architecture experience.

Strong recent engineering experience with modern technologies.

A successful track record in architecting large-scale technology initiatives.

Leadership & Influence: Exceptional leadership capabilities with a talent for motivating and guiding teams, even in ambiguous situations.

Strategic & Business Acumen: Extensive experience in agile operational models and transformational change management.

Insurance technology knowledge is preferred.

Deep understanding of creating value through business capabilities.

Strong knowledge of the insurance industry.

Experience in diagnosing issues and exploring optimal solutions.

Proven collaborative work style to achieve shared goals.

Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.

Strong verbal, written, and listening communication abilities.

Hands-on experience in AI/ML development with core algorithms and neural networks.

Familiarity with MLOps practices and CI/CD approaches for AI/ML.

Applied experience with Generative AI foundations and prompt engineering techniques.

Experience with agentic coding tools and architectures.

Working knowledge of cloud AI services such as AWS Bedrock, and familiarity with multi-cloud capabilities.

Understanding of responsible AI principles and compliance considerations for production AI.

Awareness of AI governance frameworks and risk management practices.

What is a Must Have?

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related STEM field, combined with 6 additional years of architecture/software engineering experience.
