Senior Architect / Project Manager

This individual will demonstrate the leadership skills necessary to strengthen and support the performance and culture of the office by engaging in a work environment where staff are engaged and can excel in their abilities. Working closely with the Business Unit, Market Leaders and subject matter experts, you will be a part of a team developing and implementing business development strategies to grow relationships, win new work, and expand the Shive-Hattery’s design practice locally and regionally. Responsibilities and Requirements: • Candidate should possess at least 8 to 15+ years of experience in architecture working in a multidisciplinary environment. • Licensure in KS or MO, or the ability to become licensed in KS or MO is required • Candidate should have a proven track record of outward facing business development and a willingness to engage with potential future clients • Candidate will actively lead the design and project management of complex projects through engaging in design meeting, generating ideas, collaborating with staff, and working on guiding the overall direction and tracking of the project • The role involves managing and supervising project teams comprising architects, engineers, and designers for medium to large projects with a high degree of focus on federal, justice, and civic projects. • Must have a strong can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving skills • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must be collaborative and have positive/effective team building skills
