Primary ResponsibilitiesThis person will be responsible for leading multiple architectural projects and serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members.
Responsibilities will include developing and reviewing architectural construction documents; performing code analysis; overseeing permitting; sealing architectural documents as required; performing quality control reviews; managing submittals and RFIs; and providing construction administration through project closeout.
From a project management standpoint, this person will establish project scopes, schedules, work plans, and budgets; monitor project financial performance; lead kickoff and coordination meetings; manage internal and external project teams; track milestones; identify project risks; and ensure deadlines and client expectations are met.
The Senior Architect / Project Manager will also help mentor our Architecture team, provide technical guidance, reinforce quality standards, and support the continued development of our staff.
Client & Business Development ExpectationsThis is not strictly a production position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being client-facing and can develop long-term relationships.
The individual should be able to maintain and grow existing client relationships, identify opportunities for repeat business, participate in proposals and interviews, and support the firm's overall business development efforts.
Ideal Candidate ProfileFor recruiting purposes, we would prioritize candidates who are: California licensed + NCARB certified + licensed in multiple states + experienced in industrial/retail/commercial work + strong in both AutoCAD and Revit + currently managing projects and clients.
We are looking for someone who can step into the position with a high level of independence rather than someone who would need significant training before taking ownership of projects.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary Architecture + MEP Engineering firm would be especially valuable.
