Position: Senior Architect / Senior Project Architect We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to lead and execute a wide range of projects including commercial, residential, multi-family housing, and veterinary care facilities . The ideal candidate is a well-rounded architectural professional who combines strong design capability with technical expertise, project leadership, and client-facing communication skills.This role requires someone who can manage projects from initial concept through construction administration, coordinate consultants, mentor junior staff, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.Key Responsibilities Lead architectural design from programming and schematic design through construction documentation and construction administrationManage multiple projects simultaneously of varying scale and complexityServe as primary point of contact for clients, owners, and stakeholdersCoordinate with consultants (MEP, structural, civil, landscape, and specialty vendors)Develop detailed construction documents and technical specificationsOversee code analysis, life safety plans, and permitting processesReview shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change ordersConduct site visits and field observations during constructionEnsure quality control and adherence to firm standardsMentor and guide junior architects and designersParticipate in project budgeting, scheduling, and staffingSupport business development efforts, proposals, and client presentationsProject TypesCommercial buildings and tenant improvementsCustom and production residential homesMulti-family housing (apartments, townhomes, mixed-use)Veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, and specialty care facilitiesRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (NAAB-accredited preferred)10–20 years of professional architectural experienceLicensed Architect (RA) or ability to obtain licensureStrong knowledge of building codes (IBC, ADA, local jurisdictions)Proven experience managing projects from concept through constructionExperience coordinating consultants and working directly with contractorsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to lead teams and work independentlyTechnical SkillsProficiency in Revit (required)Construction documentation and detailing expertiseExperience with permitting and jurisdictional approvalsFamiliarity with specifications writingMicrosoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)Experience with Sketch Up, Photoshop, Lumion, Bluebeam, or Adobe Creative Suite preferredPreferred Experience Experience designing veterinary or medical facilitiesMulti-family housing project leadershipClient management and business development exposureConstruction administration and field observation experienceKnowledge of sustainable design practices (LEED or similar a plus)Leadership and mentorshipProblem solving and technical troubleshootingClient relationship managementTime and project managementCollaborative teamworkWhat Success Looks LikeProjects are delivered accurately and on timeClients trust you and request repeat workJunior staff grow under your mentorshipConstruction issues are resolved efficientlyThe firm’s design and technical standards are upheldCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance bonuses (as applicable)Health, dental, and vision insurance availablePaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and licensing support#J-18808-Ljbffr
