Senior Architectural Designer

Our client, a renowned architectural firm in Kansas City, Missouri , is seeking a highly talented and innovative Senior Architectural Designer to join their distinguished team. This role is crucial in leading the design process from conceptualization through to construction documentation for a variety of challenging and prestigious projects. You will be responsible for developing innovative design solutions, preparing detailed drawings and renderings, and collaborating effectively with clients, consultants, and construction teams. You will be expected to lead design charrettes, mentor junior designers, and ensure that projects meet client objectives, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements. You will also be involved in preparing presentations, proposals, and reports for clients and project stakeholders. Responsibilities:
Lead the architectural design process for various project types. Develop conceptual designs, schematic designs, and detailed architectural plans. Prepare high-quality architectural renderings, models, and presentations. Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver design solutions. Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP engineers, and other consultants. Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards. Manage project documentation and specifications. Mentor and guide junior architectural staff. Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies. Stay current with architectural trends, materials, and technologies.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. 5+ years of professional experience in architectural design, with a focus on leading design projects. Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong portfolio showcasing innovative and high-quality architectural designs. Excellent understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Exceptional visual and verbal communication skills. Experience with sustainable design principles and certifications (e.g., LEED) is a plus. Licensed Architect (RA) or eligibility to obtain licensure in Missouri is preferred. Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
