FF is seeking a talented Senior Designer to join our Ground Up studio in our New York office. Lead design reviews across all project phases to develop and advance design intent that reflects FF’s design brandSelect materials and finishes to ensure alignment with design intentDevelop technical solutions and construction details in close collaboration with the design teamIn charge of producing drawing sets and 3D models in Revit in accordance with FF’s documentation and BIM standardsEnsure compliance with applicable local building codes, ADA requirements, and other regulatory standards throughout all documentation phasesEffectively manage consultants’ drawings, deliverables, and schedules during DD, CD, and CA phasesOptimize and improve the efficiency and accuracy of Revit models.Manage CA responsibilities, including field coordination with trades and consultants, shop drawing review, and construction sketchesMaintain and ensure QA/QC in accordance with FF’s standardsManage multiple tasks and schedules across concurrent projects with competing deadlinesIdentify potential issues early and find resolutions in a timely mannerEffectively mentor junior staff in the team A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution6-10 years of relevant professional experience at a similar architecture or interior design firmDemonstrated experience producing quality CD packages and DOB permit setsWorking knowledge of NYC building codes, Landmarks requirements, ADA requirements, and other applicable standardsStrong verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to present confidently in both internal and client-facing settingsProficiency in Revit required; working knowledge of AutoCADActive pursuit of architectural licensure (ARE) is preferredApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.Experience across a range of project types, including high-end commercial, amenity/hospitality, and workplace interiorsAbility to lead design concepts into buildable, real-world solutionsStrong knowledge of architectural detailing, including experience drafting custom design elementsCompetence in sourcing materials and writing specificationsStrong ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, and contractorsExperience completing multiple projects from initial concept through CAHardworking, detail-oriented, and independently motivated, with strong problem-solving skills Joining our New York office means genuine exposure to the full arc of design, from early concept through construction administration, across residential, commercial, workplace, and hospitality work.
