Senior Code Specialist (Registered Architect) - Data Centers

As a Senior Code Specialist, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of building codes and regulatory compliance to become the go-to authority on all things related to zoning, life safety, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary expert on building codes, zoning regulations, and life safety for Data Center projects.Interpret and apply local, state, and national building codes (such as IBC, IFC, ADA, NFPA) and their amendments effectively.Develop code analysis and compliance strategies throughout project planning, design, and construction phases.Review architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure strict code compliance.Conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews on Code Summaries and Life Safety plans.Advise project teams on code-related design choices and propose alternative methods when necessary.Engage with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), building officials, and plan reviewers to facilitate compliance.Assist with permitting and approvals, addressing code comments, and implementing revisions as needed.Proactively identify compliance risks and recommend actionable solutions.Stay up-to-date on code changes and regulations pertinent to the Data Center industry.Mentor and educate internal teams on code requirements and compliance best practices.Support due diligence and technical reviews on complex and high-risk projects.Core Competencies & Skills: The Senior Code Specialist plays an essential role in ensuring our projects adhere to regulations, reducing risk and enabling successful delivery. Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).Active Registered Architect (RA) license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Minimum of 15 years of professional architectural experience.Extensive hands-on expertise in building codes and regulatory compliance.Proven experience interpreting and applying building codes across various project and construction types.Strong understanding of life safety, accessibility, zoning, and fire code requirements.Proven ability to engage effectively with building officials and regulatory agencies.Preferred Qualifications:
