The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis.

SPA has a near-term need for a Computer Systems Engineer/Architect.

Responsibilities Performs a variety of complex systems engineering tasks applied to specialized GOC mission requirements and technology needs. Requires knowledge of internal and external USSTRATCOM GOC dependencies with ability to identify and optimize mission systems performance. Applies analytical and systematic approaches for advance planning and problem resolution of workflows, change management, and mission capability priorities. Tasks involve integration of processes, techniques and methodologies to resolve total system or technology problems. Assists system engineers in the solution of mission systems design problems. Requires knowledge of GOC mission systems and supporting infrastructure, such as LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, network protocols, security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis, PKI, data encryption, key management, data warehousing, and data mining capabilities. Qualifications Must maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), NC2-ESI, NATO, and eligibility for Special Access Required (SAR) programs. Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, engineering, systems analysis and/or systems architecture. Masters degree in applicable program. At least 10 years of experience in DoD weapon systems, space systems, and/or command and control systems. Background and experience with strategic deterrence and global strike planning, including knowledge of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) operations and capabilities, strategic nuclear operations, joint integrated operations, joint warfighting doctrine, unified Combatant Command (CCMD) structure, and global command and control constructs. Certifications: ITIL v4 Foundations plus one or more of the following DoD 8140 training courses: FITSP-O or GFACT or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP or Security+ (complete within 6 months of hiring). Desired Qualifications M.S. in Electrical Engineering, a B.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering. Knowledge and experience in critical command and control requirements, inclusive of NC2 and NC3 operational capabilities and procedures. Knowledge of national, Department of Defense (DoD), and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) guidance, CJCS Emergency Action Procedures, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Emergency Action Procedures, CJCS Instructions, and Presidential Policy Directives. Experience in supporting USSTRATCOM Global Operations Center (GOC) and/or other operations centers at Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, or DoD levels.
