Senior Construction Architect

Spherion has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Architect to create, edit, and refine building designs, ensuring they meet high standards and exceed client expectations. The Architect will be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed master plan files, working collaboratively with various departments to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality. The ideal candidate will apply expert knowledge of drafting to enhance project outcomes. This is a full time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute significantly to all phases of architectural design, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administrationDevelop innovative, context-sensitive design solutions that respond to client needs and site conditionsCoordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure technical accuracy and integration across disciplinesProduce clear, accurate, and code-compliant architectural drawings and specificationsOversee and review work of junior staff and interns, providing mentorship and guidanceAttend client meetings, site visits and inspections; prepare meeting minutes and field reportsResearch materials, products and systems to inform design and detailingEnsure designs comply with local zoning laws, building codes, ADA regulations and sustainability goalsManage project timelines and budgets in collaboration with project managersRequired Skills and Qualifications:

Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution5+ years’ of professional experience in architectureLicensure requiredProficiency in Revit, AutoCADStrong technical knowledge of building systems, detailing and construction methodsExcellent design, communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
