SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER / ARCHITECT

SEQUENCE Architecture & Design Denver, Colorado $90,000–$110,000 a year

At SEQUENCE Architecture and Design, we believe good design starts with good relationships. We're a Denver-based commercial architecture and interior design practice focused on creating thoughtful, functional, and distinctive environments for the people and organizations who use them. We care about the work, but we also care about the people we work with and the kind of place we create for our team. SEQUENCE is a growing practice with a long-term vision. We're looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer or Licensed Architect who wants more than their next job—someone who wants to put down roots, build relationships, do meaningful work, and grow with a team. If you're looking for a place where your experience is valued, your ideas are welcomed, and you can see yourself being part of the team for years to come, we'd like to meet you.

OUR WORK

Our work spans a diverse range of commercial environments, with a focus on office and workplace, science and technology, healthcare, hospitality, higher education, restaurant and retail, adaptive reuse, and multifamily repositioning. We enjoy projects that require thoughtful problem-solving and an understanding of how people interact with their environment, whether we're transforming an existing building, creating a highly technical workplace, repositioning a multifamily property, or designing a new destination for people to work, learn, gather, shop, and connect. This variety gives our team the opportunity to work across different building types, scales, and challenges while continually expanding our knowledge and design perspective.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a senior-level role combining design, project leadership, client relationships, mentoring, and business development. You'll be involved from the earliest client conversations through design, documentation, construction, and completion. You'll develop ideas, solve problems, work directly with clients, and collaborate with consultants and contractors to bring projects to life. You'll also help SEQUENCE grow by developing relationships, staying connected to the Denver business and design community, identifying opportunities, and participating in interviews, proposals, presentations, networking, and client development. We believe business development happens naturally when good people do good work and build genuine relationships. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to stay. We want to build a team of people who know and trust each other, enjoy working together, and are excited about where we're going.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Interior Designer / Architect, you'll help lead projects through all phases—from initial client conversations and concept development through construction documentation and administration. You'll work directly with clients to understand their goals and challenges and translate them into thoughtful design solutions. You'll coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to turn those ideas into well-designed, well-coordinated, buildable projects. We're looking for someone who enjoys the full range of the profession—someone who can discuss a design concept with a client, develop a Revit drawing set, and work through a construction detail with a contractor. You don't need to know everything. You should be curious, thoughtful, willing to ask questions, and interested in continuing to learn.

Collaborate - Work closely with architects, designers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and vendors.

Mentor - Share your experience and help less-experienced team members develop their skills.

Contribute to the Studio - Bring your ideas, experience, and personality to a collaborative team that values both great work and good people.
