Senior Landscape Architect

Mackenzie is a growing firm offering full-service design solutions through an integrated in-house design team. Our landscape architects contribute to and lead a wide variety of projects including public facilities, parks, master plans, healthcare and industrial projects. We are seeking a highly experienced landscape architect with 12+ years of experience to join our team. This full-time role is suited to a self-motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about project management and delivering high-quality projects within a multi-disciplinary firm.

This position involves guiding and mentoring staff while partnering with department leadership on strategic initiatives and business development. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to contribute to both project execution and the continued growth of the landscape architecture team.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster staff development by supporting mentorship, growth opportunities, and a positive team environmentWork with client, stakeholders, and project team to execute workEstablish and maintain strong client relationshipsIdentify market opportunities and develop project leadsPrepare proposals, presentations, and marketing effortsServe as the landscape architectural lead and landscape architect of recordCoordinate with architects, interior designers, civil and structural engineers, and project consultants to ensure design integrityProactively manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project executionAssist in operational management efforts including staffing coordination, recruitment, and hiringQualifications:

Strong construction documentation, detailing, cost estimating, and construction administration experienceStrong project management experience in public and private sectorsStrong verbal, written, and graphic communication skillsBusiness development and marketing experiencePassionate about finding thoughtful solutions that exceed client expectations, meet social justice and climate equity goals, and are mindful of budget.Licensed in OR, WA, and/or CAFamiliarity with design and production software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Civil 3D, LandFX, Bluebeam, and SketchUpProficiency with project management tools such as Deltek, Procore, Forma, MS Office SuiteSalary Range: $90k-130k depending on experience and location

At Mackenzie, we work a hybrid office schedule; all staff work in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with an option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
