About UsThe Providence Architecture and Building Company is a boutique design-build division of the Providence Group, a fast-growing, design-centered real estate development team committed to placemaking and creating housing at all price points. We specialize in multifamily design and construction, operating in a fully integrated design-build structure. Unit layout, building efficiency, and constructability are central to our work. Design decisions are driven by real-world constraints, including project feasibility and market performance.

Firm leadership is deeply involved in the design process. Projects are highly iterative. Layouts are refined repeatedly until they are just right — from unit efficiency to parking yield to buildability. Position OverviewWe are seeking a Project Architect/ Project Manager with 15+ years of experience who is highly proficient in Revit and experienced in multifamily design.

This role is heavily focused on modeling, unit layout, and space planning, with opportunities to lead smaller residential projects from concept through construction administration.

You will work closely with firm leadership and contribute meaningfully to projects from early feasibility through construction.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine multifamily unit layouts with a focus on efficiency, marketability, constructibility, and code complianceBuild and manage detailed 3D Revit models using real construction assemblies within model for realistic takeoffs and preliminary pricing purposesIterate quickly on layout revisions as project constraints evolve and financial models inform new decisionsProduce parking layouts and site studiesStrong role in zoning and code reviewCoordinate closely with in-house construction team on pre-construction items such as preliminary cost assessments, constructability reviews, MEP strategies, and project delivery strategies Lead small residential projects in full (e.g., single family &, small multifamily) from design through construction administrationQualificationsRequired

15+ years of professional architectural experienceStrong multifamily project experienceUpscale single family experience Advanced proficiency in RevitStrong space planning skillsPortfolio of residential spaces, both single family and multifamily designsBachelor or Master of Architecture from NAAC accredited programLicensure to practice architecture required Ideal CandidatePragmatic and solutions-orientedComfortable working in a highly iterative design processLow ego, collaborative, and open to frequent feedback and directionStrong technical Revit modeler and detail-orientedInterested in how development, architecture, and construction come togetherUnderstands that real-world project constraints drive design decisionsWilling to learn new development-centric constraints and how they play out as design decisionsCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $120,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
