Senior Project Architect - Water Resource Recovery

We are seeking a Senior Project Architect to be part of our dynamic East-Central Water group, focusing on Water Resource Recovery projects.

As a vital member of our interdisciplinary design team, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Design Manager, and other design leads to ensure the highest standards of project design quality and performance. In this role, you will oversee the development and issuance of project deliverables, ensuring the technical accuracy of documents and seamless coordination among various disciplines and consultants.

This position emphasizes Water Resource Recovery and wastewater treatment facilities design, but your architectural expertise may also extend to diverse building typologies such as Transportation, Science and Technology, Healthcare, Corporate Commercial, Higher Education, and Mission Critical facilities. Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure the overall design intent established by the Design Manager is effectively incorporated into project documentation. Oversee the design process from conceptual phase through construction, ensuring accurate execution of design. Collaborate with project specification writers to develop architectural specifications; coordinate drawings and specifications efficiently. Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations for accuracy. Lead the architectural strategy for document production, organizing data effectively for Building Information Modeling and final construction drawings. Communicate with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to integrate all necessary information into project requirements. Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and best practices in construction documentation. Prepare technical drawings and details while coordinating with municipal building departments and officials for approvals. Compose technical reports and memos for client-driven work and participate in on-site visits, reviews, and project meetings. Review submissions from contractors, including shop drawings, RFIs, and material samples. Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into your projects. Commit to client service and business development through proactive project delivery. Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships to secure future project opportunities. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program. Licensed Architect or working towards licensure within the United States, with potential for reciprocity in relevant states. Minimum of 10 years of relevant architectural design experience, preferably in public works infrastructure. Self-motivated, adaptable in a hybrid work environment, with the ability to lead and collaborate across local and remote teams. Strong knowledge of design trends, construction methodologies, and material applications. Understanding of sustainability and green building certifications. Proficient in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and familiar with various project delivery methodologies. Proficient in building codes and standards, technical report writing, and specifications. Strong skills in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft O365 Suite. Willingness to travel to local project sites and occasional regional locations. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Water Resource Recovery facilities or similar industrial applications. Skills in Enscape, Photoshop, and other graphics and rendering software. Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu and sustainable design software analysis tools. Experience with next-generation software and programming such as Dynamo. Additional credentials like LEED AP and/or ENV SP are advantageous. Understanding of coatings and basic corrosion mitigation strategies. Experience designing for chemical storage and feed buildings. #LI-AD2
