**About the Role**
As a Senior Software Architect, you'll provide engineering and architectural oversight for our brokerage applications, helping accelerate the development of innovative transportation industry products. You'll be a key player in ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
**What You'll Do**
Your day-to-day involves conducting system design activities and reviewing application module specifications, classes, objects, methods, and other software components. You'll ensure architectural solutions meet both technical and functional requirements, and mentor development teams to develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical enterprise architecture. You'll also be responsible for ensuring code quality, proper use of patterns, and best practices across the board.
You'll review and break down feature request epics to determine level of effort and sub-tasks, and you'll take part in recruiting new team members.
**What We're Looking For**
We need someone with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent. You should have a solid understanding of microservices, micro frontends, and REST APIs, along with extensive knowledge of Agile software development processes. Broad knowledge of enterprise architectures, architectural styles, and design patterns is essential, as is an understanding of full-stack coding methodologies and programming languages. Experience working with cloud infrastructure—whether AWS, GCP, or Azure—is also required.
**Work Environment & Schedule**
This is a full-time, benefit-eligible role with a standard office environment. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Eastern time. The role may require occasional travel—less than twice a year—to conferences or other offices.
**Physical Effort**
You'll need to maintain a stationary position for extended periods, move about the office, operate computers and files, and frequently communicate with others. Occasionally, you may need to lift boxes up to 20 pounds.
**Our Commitment**
We are an Equal Opportunity employer and are committed to a policy of nondiscrimination in all personnel practices. We're dedicated to recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent.
