As a Senior Transit Facilities Project Architect, you will join a dynamic multidisciplinary team focused on innovative solutions in the transportation sector, specifically working on passenger stations, intermodal transit centers, and maintenance facilities.

Your Responsibilities:

Guide and collaborate with junior staff to plan and design building projects, creating compelling design presentations and construction documentation.

Work directly with clients to define building design criteria and lead the presentation of project concepts.

Coordinate the development of architectural designs and construction documents with multi-discipline engineering teams.

Mentor project architects and junior staff, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.

Determine appropriate materials, technologies, and detailing methodologies for construction.

Prepare and edit essential technical specifications.

Ensure compliance with relevant planning, zoning, and building regulations through effective coordination with jurisdictional agencies.

Act as a Quality Control reviewer, ensuring high standards in architectural outputs.

Lead project budgeting and scheduling efforts, monitoring project progress from start to close-out.

Support business development efforts by engaging with clients and serving as the Project Technical Lead for architectural projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture.

At least 11 years of relevant experience in architecture.

Registered Architect (RA) certification required.

Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Domestic and/or international travel may be required, depending on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Expertise in the planning, design, and construction oversight of transit facilities, including rail and bus rapid transit systems.

NCARB certification for professional reciprocity.

Experience in signing and sealing architectural documents.

Project Management experience or PMP certification.
