As the lead Software Architect, you will shape and oversee a network of simulators and modeling tools to support rehearsal and exercise capabilities nationwide. You’ll steer software architecture, integrate applications, and guide the team through a modern CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code setup. This role combines hands-on coding leadership with program-wide technical direction and agile collaboration to deliver innovative simulation capabilities. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into executable features, while maintaining system reliability and security in a classified environment.

Responsibilities

Lead software engineering efforts to compile/run source code and maintain the CI/CD pipelineGuide architectural direction across multiple programming languages and integration pointsBreak down operational requirements into tasks in JIRA and drive feature deliveryLead Agile Scrum team, mentor engineers, and review designs and codeOversee transition to infrastructure-as-code and containerized environments (Docker)Provide onsite support as needed and manage lifecycle, deployments, and new featuresSupport ATO/security requirements and interactions with RMF processes
Key requirements
