Solution Architect - Healthcare Claims & Cloud Modernization

This role will help define target-state architecture, modernize legacy claims environments, enable cloud adoption, and incorporate AI-driven capabilities to improve and accelerate software delivery.The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of modern cloud architecture experience and deep knowledge of healthcare payer and claims processing environments. Candidates from highly transactional financial services or credit card environments may also be considered.ResponsibilitiesLead solution architecture for large-scale healthcare claims modernization initiativesDefine target-state architectures and modernization roadmaps across Commercial Claims platformsDesign cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS and/or GCPDevelop microservices, API-based, and event-driven architecture strategiesArchitect integrations between modern platforms and legacy/mainframe claims systemsReduce complexity across the claims technology ecosystem while supporting scalability and modernizationSupport AI and automation initiatives focused on developer productivity and AI-assisted software developmentEvaluate and incorporate tools such as Claude and Copilot into applicable development workflowsPartner with business and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable architectural solutionsProvide architectural leadership across multiple strategic claims initiativesRequired SkillsHealthcare payer industry experience, ideally with commercial claims processingStrong Solution Architecture experience supporting large-scale modernization initiativesCloud architecture experience with AWS and/or GCPExperience designing microservices and API-based architecturesStrong knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging patternsExperience integrating modern platforms with legacy or mainframe systemsUnderstanding of healthcare claims processing platforms and technology ecosystemsExperience with AI/automation solutions, AI-assisted development, or developer productivity toolsExposure to tools such as Claude and/or CopilotStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teamsBeacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.California residents: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.Company Profile: Beacon Hill Technologies, a premier National Information Technology Staffing Group, provides world class technology talent across all industries utilizing a complete suite of staffing services.
