Solutions Architect

540 is seeking a Solutions Architect to support our partnership with Google and the Department of War in advancing mission-critical capabilities for a global data processing platform. This platform leverages Machine Learning, modern cloud and containerized technologies to ingest, process, and analyze high-volume, time-series data.

In this role, you will support technical architecture efforts and contribute to the design and delivery of distributed systems that enable near real-time analysis and mission insight. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, platform architecture, and mission operations, helping ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and secure within highly regulated, high-impact environments.

Location: Patrick Space Force Base, FL. Primarily onsite, up to 5 days/week. Travel up to 25%
Citizenship & Clearance Requirement: Per client requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an active DoW clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (preferred)

HOW YOU'LL DRIVE IMPACT

4+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or architecture rolesExperience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)Experience with containerized environmentsExperience with Python and strong programming ability in a typed language (Java, Kotlin, C#, etc.)Experience building or supporting distributed systems and cloud-based applicationsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflowsFamiliarity with Event-Driven and Asynchronous ArchitectureUnderstanding of authentication and authorization concepts (SAML, OAuth, etc.)Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environmentNICE TO HAVE
