Solutions Architect

About the position

The Solutions Architect is responsible for the creation, maintenance and\nmanagement of IT architecture models. They are also required to interpret, use\nand apply information contained within the IT architecture to inform a range of\nbusiness improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design,\ndevelopment, enhancement and maintenance of IT support systems. The Solutions\nArchitect will ensure that the overall IT architecture is developed and\nmaintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for\nits security and quality. The primary role of the Solutions Architect is to\nensure that the respective business, application, data and technology\nperspectives are in line with the company’s technology and governance\nstrategies, policies and standards.\n\nMidAmerican Energy Company, a Midwest utility, provides regulated electric and\nnatural gas service to more than 1.6 million customers in Illinois, Iowa,\nNebraska and South Dakota.
