Spaceport Designer, Architect

Coordinate with stakeholders and end users to design and build aesthetic and functional architectural projects and outdoor spaces, including landscaping, hardscaping, managing all phases of the project from planning to final delivery Design landscapes that are suitable to south Texas and the microclimate within Starbase, with attention to details on soil conditions, sun and wind exposure, irrigation, and water supply in plant selection Develop and issues architectural plans, elevations, sections, landscape, hardscape, lighting, irrigation, grading, and drainage design drawings and documents for projects Create drawings, details, schedules and specifications, and 3D renders Write and manage installation contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out. Design project to meet target budgets Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time Takes on new projects ad-hoc as the business needs Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and works autonomously and efficiently in a dynamic team environment This position is based in Starbase, TX (Brownsville/South Padre Island Area) and requires being onsite – remote work not considered Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when needed based on site operational needs; flexibility required Comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction
