VCBO Architecture is seeking an experienced Specification Writer to support project teams across the firm. Our work spans education, civic, healthcare, religious, and commercial projects, with a focus on strengthening communities through thoughtful, sustainable design. Key Responsibilities Prepare, develop, and coordinate architectural specifications for projects across the firmInterpret architectural drawings and project requirements to develop accurate and coordinated construction specificationsDevelop project-specific requirements using and adapting firm master specificationsMaintain and improve master specifications, standards, and related resourcesResearch building materials, products, systems, industry standards, and manufacturer requirementsAdvise project teams on material and product selection, appropriate applications, and potential alternativesCollaborate with project teams to resolve specification, material, and product-related issues throughout design and constructionCoordinate specifications with drawings and other construction documents to support quality and consistencyServe as a technical resource to project teams and contribute to continuous improvement of the firm's specification practices Qualifications
