What You'll Do Contribute conceptual ideas that strengthen the architectural design.Propose spatial solutions, material selections, architectural details, and building systems.Enhance the project by integrating functionality, aesthetics, and technical performance.Coordinate the architectural team, including Architects I (A1), Architects II (A2), Design Architects (A3), BIM modelers, and external associates.Clearly assign tasks to team members, defining scope, methodology, and timelines.Continuously review the progress and performance of each architect under their supervision.Identify and correct technical issues before deliverables are escalated to Design Leadership.Maintain updated area schedules, gross and net area calculations, and space-use documentation.Verify that design changes are accurately reflected in project metrics and functional ratios.Report significant deviations or project impacts to the Design Director and Project Manager.Review code-related implications, including occupancy, ventilation, and parking requirements.Ensure the project's digital organization and consistency.Define and manage folder structures and naming conventions.Ensure the proper use of GVI standard templates, families, and documentation standards.Manage model versions, linked files, references, worksets, and Levels of Development (LOD).Integrate multidisciplinary models into the master BIM model.Detect model clashes and issue technical coordination reports.Prepare clear and technically accurate Requests for Information (RFIs).Anticipate technical conflicts before they impact the client or project and communicate them to the Design Director.Ensure that all deliverables are complete, accurate, and aligned with GVI's graphic and technical standards.Review drawing sets for quality, scales, annotations, nomenclature, and technical notes.Verify that documentation reflects the appropriate Level of Development for each project phase.Review and organize drawing packages, including cover sheets, indexes, title blocks, sheet formatting, seals, and overall readability.Research materials, suppliers, and construction systems to support design development.Evaluate emerging technologies, industrialized construction methods, and sustainable solutions.Recommend technical alternatives based on sound architectural and engineering judgment, without participating in commercial or procurement decisions.
