Position: Sr Solution Architect (WMS) Blue Yonder Job Title: Sr Solution Architect (Warehouse Management Systems)Location: Virtual within the USTravel is expected within the US at 50% - 75%OverviewCore responsibilities focus your efforts as the lead functional consultant for Warehouse Management System (WMS) solution implementations for customers across the Americas region.In this role, you will design best-in-class solutions using a suite of products in the Warehouse Management space, as well as being on the leading edge with our latest product innovations.You will be the functional liaison across of key stakeholders , including key customer contacts, Project Managers, Technical Consultants, and 3rd Party Consultants, to drive the timely and successful delivery of the final solution.What you'll doDrive the design, optimization, and implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS) software solutions for customers, utilizing industry best practices and process methodologiesApply domain knowledge to fully understand and identify how WMS solutions can be configured and delivered to best meet customer requirements/business processesLead requirements-gathering and design workshops with customer operations, IT, and executive stakeholders, translating warehouse business processes into functional designsConfigure and validate core warehouse functions including receiving, putaway, replenishment, wave planning, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, task management, labor management, and yard/dock operationsDefine the integration approach between the WMS and ERP, OMS, TMS, host, and parcel/carrier systems, including interface specifications, data mapping, and message flows (EDI, XML, APIs, flat file)Guide integration with warehouse automation and floor technology, including MHE/WCS/WES, conveyor and sortation, RF devices, scanners, printers, and labelingLead solution design to ensure clear construct and validation tasks and timelineOwn data migration and master data readiness, including conversion approach, validation, and reconciliationConduct and/or guide system integration, user acceptance testing and deployment phases of the project to ensure a seamless transition to our steady state associatesLead cutover planning, mock cutovers, go-live execution, and post-go-live hypercare through transition to steady state supportAuthor and maintain project deliverables including functional design documents, configuration specifications, test scripts, cutover plans, SOPs, and training materialsDeliver end-user and super-user training and drive knowledge transfer to customer operations and support teamsSustain the balance between project scope, timeline, and requirements to ensure successful time to value and definitive customer satisfactionAssess business needs that fall outside the standard solution and/or scope, and assess integration complexity, architecture constraints and/or product roadmapsMentor and coach junior consultants and partner/offshore resources, and contribute to reusable practice assets, accelerators, and implementation methodologySupport pre-sales and scoping activities including solution demonstrations, effort estimates, and statement of work inputRecognize and highlight incremental revenue opportunities with existing customers/projectsCommunicate business cases to PMG and PD regarding customer specific needs related to product functionality and enhancementsWhat we are looking for Industry and Product ExperienceMinimum 8 years of specific experience working within tier-1 Warehouse Management Systems, either as a customer running a WMS or as a consultant implementing WMS solutions for customersHands-on configuration experience across multiple full-lifecycle WMS implementations, including at least 5 engagements as functional or solution leadExperience delivering WMS in a cloud/SaaS model, including release management, regression, and upgrade considerations, preferredAdditionally relevant solutions consulting and implementation experience with other leading warehouse management and supply chain execution solutions such as Korber (formerly High Jump), Manhattan Associates, SAP EWM, or Oracle WMS Cloud is a plusCurrent or prior experience working in a management consulting organization or Supply Chain Center preferredDirect warehouse or distribution center operations experience, or equivalent time spent on the DC floor, strongly preferredExperience in automated DC environments (MHE/WCS/WES, sortation, ASRS, AMR) preferredSkillsStrong business analysis skills, with the ability to translate warehouse operational processes into system configuration, functional design, and measurable performance outcomes requiredWorking knowledge of SQL and relational data structures sufficient to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot system behaviorFamiliarity with integration patterns and message formats including APIs, EDI, XML, JSON, and flat file, and the ability to review interface designs with technical teamsUnderstanding of distribution center performance…
