Staff Architectural Historian | Southeast

Chronicle Heritage is seeking a Staff Architectural Historian who can assist in research and writing tasks on moderate to complex archival research, windshield and reconnaissance surveys, and can prepare built environment assessments and reports. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of areas including: • Leading small-scale historic properties surveys • Photographing and documenting buildings • Determinations of Eligibility • NRHP Nominations • Conducting archival research • Assisting in writing historic contexts • Understanding of relevant architectural styles • Working in remote areas Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in history, architectural history, historic preservation, public history, heritage conservation, history, or a closely related field. • A valid U.S. driver’s license is required at the time of employment.
