Subject Matter Expert - Senior Architect

In this role, you will be responsible, as a design professional, for the production of innovative, appropriate, cost-effective, designs, drawings, and specifications for assigned projects. Performs interdisciplinary coordination checks to minimize deficiencies, errors and omissions in drawings and specificationsLeads the production of well-organized, finished drawings of good appearance, accuracy, clarity and correctnessConstruction DocumentsManages the production of a complete coordinated set of discipline construction documentsSigns and seals design documents when assigned as Professional of RecordConstruction SupportCoordinates the review and checking of discipline shop drawings and submittal dataReviews applicable shop drawings and submittal data for compliance with construction documentsServes as discipline field interface with the design team during constructionAdvises and assists Construction Project Managers, Superintendents, and Subcontractors in the interpretation and clarification of construction documentsParticipates in construction inspection to monitor compliance with design intent, construction drawings, and specifications. Participates in the post-construction review processPlanning, Scheduling, and ProfitabilityProjects and monitors discipline work plan and advises Design Manager of work plan statusProjects, monitors, and informs design manager of workload status of project discipline staffParticipates in project strategy meetingsParticipates in the creation of overall key date schedule, including permitting scheduleCreates discipline work plan for assigned projectsPrepares man-hour estimate for discipline workAssists Design Manager in monitoring costs of discipline-related outside consultantsParticipates in team review to assure discipline scope is covered in project budgets, estimates, and subcontractor bidsProjects and monitors discipline project budget and advise Design Manager of budget statusProject ManagementDirects technical efforts of discipline staff assigned to the projectMonitors discipline adherence to strategy, key date schedule, and workplanCommunicates discipline design decisions to the A/E project team as directed by the Design ManagerAssists in coordinating information with and monitoring discipline-related outside consultantsPrepares Meeting minutes and other communications in coordination with the design managerInterfaces with the client as directed by the Design ManagerLeads production of a complete coordinated set of construction documentsMentoring assigned staff
