Systems Architect

WiSC Enterprises is seeking an experienced and innovative Systems Architect to support Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and Federal mission partners in the design, development, integration, and modernization of enterprise and mission-critical systems. This role supports the development of scalable, secure, and resilient solutions aligned with national security priorities and operational mission requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with government stakeholders, engineers, developers, analysts, and operational teams to architect and implement next-generation technical capabilities supporting defense and intelligence missions. This is a full-time position supporting onsite, hybrid, or customer-location environments based on program requirements. Lead the design and development of enterprise and mission systems architectures supporting defense and intelligence operationsDevelop architecture frameworks, technical roadmaps, interface designs, and systems integration strategiesSupport full systems lifecycle engineering activities including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainmentArchitect solutions involving cloud platforms, enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, software systems, and mission applicationsConduct technical trade studies, risk analyses, performance evaluations, and technology assessments to support mission objectivesCollaborate with government stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutionsSupport digital engineering, Agile development, DevSecOps, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiativesEnsure interoperability, security, and compliance across enterprise and mission environmentsSupport cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, Zero Trust implementation, and secure systems engineering effortsDevelop architecture documentation, technical reports, executive briefings, and implementation plansProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and mission support teamsEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve operational effectiveness and mission resilienceSupport proposal development, technical solutioning, capture activities, and business development initiatives as required Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical discipline10+ years of experience supporting systems architecture, enterprise engineering, or systems integration efforts within DoD, IC, or Federal environmentsStrong knowledge of systems engineering methodologies, enterprise architecture principles, and distributed systems designExperience supporting cloud technologies, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity integration, and enterprise IT systemsFamiliarity with systems lifecycle processes including requirements management, verification, validation, and operational sustainmentExperience developing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and engineering analysesKnowledge of Agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and digital engineering conceptsStrong analytical, organizaMaster’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplineExperience supporting Air Force, Space Force, Intelligence Community, cyber, ISR, or defense modernization initiativesExpertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologiesKnowledge of Zero Trust architectures, RMF, NIST cybersecurity standards, and secure systems engineering practicesExperience with AI/ML-enabled systems, data analytics platforms, or digital transformation initiativesRelevant certifications such as:AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectCISSPTOGAFSecurity+SAFe AgilistINCOSE CSEP/ESEPExperience supporting proposal efforts, technical capture management, or business development initiativestional, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced mission environmentsActive Secret clearance required; Top Secret/SCI preferred
