Position Overview:

The Florida Department is seeking an experienced Systems Architect to support enterprise end-user computing systems with a focus on Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Windows deployment, cloud technologies, and software packaging. This role will be responsible for administering, optimizing, securing, and supporting the Department’s virtual desktop and application delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application delivery platforms

• Monitor, optimize, patch, and perform regression testing for virtual desktop environments

• Generate and integrate Citrix utilization reports with enterprise reporting and analytics platforms

• Assess VDI environments for performance, efficiency, security, and configuration gaps

• Identify issues, recommend remediation plans, and implement corrective actions

• Provide technical and configuration support to internal Citrix VDI users

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Citrix administration

• Evaluate alternative virtual desktop technologies for compatibility and modernization opportunities

• Manage software packaging and release management activities

• Document environment changes, updates, implementations, and system improvements

• Ensure compliance with data security and confidentiality policies

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Windows Operating System deployment

• 3+ years of experience working with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

• 2+ years of experience with Cloud Computing Technologies

• 5+ years of experience in Software Packaging and Release Management

Preferred Skills:

• Citrix administration and architecture

• VDI performance tuning and optimization

• Endpoint management and enterprise desktop support

• Cloud and virtualization technologies

• Security hardening and system compliance

• Reporting, analytics integration, and technical documentation

• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
