Systems Engineer / Architect

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Systems Engineer / Architect will design, develop, and maintain complex software systems while leading project teams and influencing technical decisions for enterprise observability implementation and operations. Key Responsibilities Create and implement robust, scalable software architectures and write clean, efficient code Lead development efforts for projects, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices Develop scalable observability strategies using Datadog for applications, infrastructure, and cloud services Required Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/equivalent and 9 years of experience Proven experience as a Cloud DevOps and Automation Engineer Strong development background with Python, Bash, PowerShell, and YAML Hands-on experience enabling Datadog infrastructure monitoring and application performance monitoring Must be willing to obtain a Datadog APM and Distributed Tracing Fundamentals Certification
