We are seeking a detail-oriented and business-focused Systems Specialist to join the ITS Desktop Architecture team. This role supports the design, administration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of endpoint management, security, virtual desktop, and reporting capabilities across the workstation environment. The ideal candidate will help maintain a secure, compliant, and reliable desktop ecosystem by managing endpoint policies, investigating non-compliance, supporting virtual desktop templates, and producing clear operational reporting for technical and leadership audiences.

What You Will Do

Manage Microsoft Intune policies for device setup, compliance, security, and app controlsSupport Microsoft Defender policies, reporting, and remediation activitiesInvestigate workstation compliance issues and recommend fixesMaintain virtual desktop templates and ensure they meet architecture standardsCreate and maintain reports on workstation compliance, endpoint health, and remediation progressBuild Power BI dashboards for reporting, compliance tracking, and leadership updatesWork with IT teams to solve issues, confirm results, and improve desktop processesSupport desktop solutions through planning, testing, rollout, monitoring, and ongoing supportCreate and maintain technical documents, support guides, and process materialsEnsure solutions and reports are accurate, secure, and aligned with standardsFind ways to automate reporting, improve data quality, and simplify processesSupport Configuration Manager reporting for inventory, deployment, patching, and compliancePerform other related duties and contribute to projects or operational priorities as required

What You Bring To The Role

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate technical issues, identify patterns, and recommend practical remediation stepsGood communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings in clear language for both technical teams and business or leadership stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities, follow through on operational tasks, and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with cross-functional IT teams, including endpoint management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, service desk, and operations groupsHigh attention to detail, with a strong ability to validate reporting outputs, review policy results, and maintain accurate documentationComfort working with ambiguity and taking ownership of issues through investigation, coordination, and resolution trackingA continuous improvement mindset, with interest in simplifying processes, improving reporting quality, and strengthening endpoint compliance practicesHands-on experience with Microsoft Intune policy management, device compliance, configuration profiles, endpoint security policies, and reportingExperience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint policy management, endpoint security posture review, and security-related reportingExperience investigating workstation compliance issues across policy, device, user, security, and configuration data sourcesExperience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop or similar virtual desktop environments, including image/template administration and validation.Strong reporting and data analysis skills, including the ability to consolidate and interpret data from multiple endpoint, security, and service management platformsProficiency with Power BI for building reports, dashboards, data models, and executive-ready views of operational or compliance dataWorking knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows endpoint management, and enterprise desktop architecture conceptsExperience with PowerShell scripting to automate endpoint administration tasks, support reporting activities, validate workstation configuration, and assist with remediation of compliance issuesMicrosoft Configuration Manager / SCCM reporting experience is an asset but not requiredServiceNow reporting experience is nice to have but not requiredRelevant Microsoft certifications in endpoint management, security, Azure, or Power BI are an asset but not required

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders nationally in our English speaking provinces while at KPMG.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $82,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $82,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards.
