Technical Designer - Interior Architecture

Your Role

As a Gensler Technical Designer you will collaborate with our Practice Area Leaders and Design Directors to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect's sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. What You Will Do

Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, civil consultants etc.Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsProvide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challengesMaintain project manual and specificationsConduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture8+ years of experience in a commercial design firmLicensed or registered architect preferredExperience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office.Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structuresLEED accreditation preferred

The base salary range will be estimated between $80,000 - $102,000.

Gensler’s total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and profit sharing.
