**Internship Overview**
As an FHU intern, you will gain practical experience in transportation engineering design with a focus on roadway design. You will work on real projects, build technical skills, and gain insight into the industry in a supportive environment where you can explore your career interests.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Assist in the design, analysis, and planning of engineering projects
* Participate in fieldwork, data collection, and analysis
* Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for clients and communities
* Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation
* Use industry software including AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads Designer
**Requirements**
**Required**
* Undergraduate (sophomore or higher) or graduate student in Transportation Engineering or a related field
* Strong computer skills and proficiency with engineering software
* Solid mathematics skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Availability for a 3-month internship (approximately June through August)
**Preferred**
* Coursework in transportation engineering
* Prior experience
* Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads Designer
**Benefits**
