Urban Designer

Be an excellent collaborator.Have a history of contributing to and delivering urban design and city planning projects.Demonstrate an eagerness to contribute, learn from, and lead in a dynamic team environment.Demonstrate excellence with evolving tools and methods in urban design and planning, with a drive to explore, experiment, and rethink traditional approaches.Project experience in digital prototyping, fabrication, visualization, or immersive environments is preferred, especially when paired with a desire to contribute to team-wide knowledge and capability.Show experience in and a commitment to inclusive and equitable stakeholder engagement.Play a pivotal role in elevating the work of the Urban Systems Lab inside and outside of the office.Be in or willing to relocate to Seattle, working in person 4 days a week. Professional degree in urban design, landscape architecture, architecture, city planning, or a related field5+ years of experience in a range of planning and urban design contextsProficiency in existing and emerging design and visualization tools and technologies, such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, and Arc GISAbility to self-direct and work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills Fridays are hybrid workdays that allow employees to work in the office, from home, or any location they choose.
