Experteer Overview
As a Senior Architect for Workforce Management, you define and own the target-state architecture for Fidelity’s WFM platform. You translate business needs and enterprise standards into practical architecture decisions, ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, and extensible. You collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Product, Operations and business units to align roadmaps with strategic intent. You shape patterns, guardrails, and governance to deliver a resilient, enterprise-grade WFM solution. This role offers impact by guiding modernization in a regulated financial-services context and partnering across cross-functional teams.

Compensation / Benefits
• Own the Workforce Management target-state architecture blueprint, including domains, service boundaries, integration patterns, data flows, runtime capabilities, and non-functional requirements
• Establish the technical strategy for a modern, enterprise-grade WFM platform
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate capabilities into roadmaps and execution models
• Ensure decisions support long-term scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency
• Serve as the senior technical authority for WFM design and execution architecture
• Translate EA standards into concrete engineering patterns, reference designs, and guardrails
• Align with enterprise architecture to meet firmwide standards, security, and governance
• Guide engineering teams through architecture decisions and early risk identification
• Establish review mechanisms to improve quality and reduce delivery friction
• Define patterns for high availability, scalability, disaster recovery, and production support
• Promote engineering discipline with SLOs, DORA metrics, and production readiness reviews

Tasks
• 10+ years in software development
• 5+ years in a Sr. Architecture role
• High proficiency in Java
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerized services, API gateways, event streaming, observability platforms, and modern CI/CD
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Deep domain expertise in Workforce Management architecture for enterprise-grade contact center platform
• Proven ability to define target-state roadmaps, guardrails, and modernization strategies
• Experience with cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, event-driven design, observability, resiliency, and service ownership
• Experience with AI-assisted development to accelerate lifecycle
• Judgement balancing speed, quality, risk, governance, and sustainability
• Ability to mentor senior technical leaders and drive cross-team clarity
• Strong communication to explain strategy, risks, and trade-offs
• Comfort in a regulated financial-services environment with data, audit, and change-control expectations
